Learning About Abraham the Father of many Nations by Fresh Bread Ministries

Heavenly Father, as we humble ourselves in prayer today, Father we ask first and foremost Father that you forgive us of our sins and iniquities, and Father cleanse us of our transgressions, and from our trespasses; LORD remove from us those issues that hinder us from exercising true love toward your people GOD. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in our actions, and in every activity, let the words from our mouths be wholesome breathing life into those who hear them. Father as we submit our will to yours, our ways to your way and our thoughts to you GOD, administer the manifestation of your prominent power in our lives. Grant to us Father the ability to recognize those broken and lost souls, who so desperately need a word of healing; or who have natural needs that need to be met. Father allow us to meet their needs regardless the circumstances,it being in your will GOD. It is in the mighty name of Jesus that we petition you today, Father hear our prayer and move by the breath of your Spirit. We thank you in advance for what you are going to do through us this day GOD. For it is in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we pray today GOD, we love you Lord, we adore you Father, we lift up the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Beloved, as we look at the life and times of Abraham the Father of many Nations as GOD has ordained it to be; let us recognize that although Abraham walked with GOD he did not always operate in the will of GOD. However, when Abraham made decisions without consulting GOD’s blessings it seemed as though GOD would always rescue him from the potentially dangerous outcome.

Learning About Abraham the Father of many Nations

Abraham is depicted in the scriptures as a man of great faith and we see this from various acts of him exercising this faith. When GOD first spoke to Abraham and told him to leave his father’s home and to travel to the country the GOD would show him, Abraham was obedient to the call. Beloved, how many times have GOD ask us to do things and we question whether or not that we are hearing from GOD or is this just something that I made up in my own mind. Well let me try to help you out just a little, if we profess to have the Spirit of GOD in us then we ought to know the difference between the voice of the LORD and the voice of ourselves. The word of GOD says clearly; My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. (John 10:27) So that being said we need to recognize and discern the voice that we follow, brethren GOD would never put you in a position to fail.

Abraham was sent to rescue his nephew Lot from captivity when the five Kings took Sodom and Gomorrah in to captivity and made slaves of the people. GOD saw fit that Abraham did not lose one soul that suited up for the battle. The country was returned back to the King of Sodom, Lot was rescued and GOD was given all honor and glory by Abraham for their deliverance. Beloved, when we are in the will of GOD there is no weapon formed against us that shall prosper, we are more than conquerors as I paraphrase the word of GOD. We need to understand that even when we make a mistake of walking outside the will of GOD such as Abraham did with offering his Wife Sarah to Pharaoh saying that she was his sister; GOD stepped in and block Sarah from being defiled by Pharaoh sending plagues into his home. This was a great example of GOD protecting the sanctity of Holy Matrimony (marriage) between his chosen.

Beloved, we need to restore the principle of sanctity in our marriages in the body of Christ today. Men let us begin to value our wives in accordance to the word of GOD found in Ephesians where it says: Husbands love your wives as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it: That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. (Ephesians 5:25-26) We have to do a better job of witnessing to the lost world by walking upright and not talking righteous but living the righteous life, which is only found in Christ Jesus.

Abraham walked with GOD although he was not endowed with the Holy Spirit, his soul longed for a righteous lifestyle, and he had a love for humanity. Abraham displayed this when he was visited by the angels of the Lord during a time when his marriage to Sarah had not produced the promised Heir. He was a gracious host and treated them by offering his best as he feed them and made their stay as comfortable as possible. GOD sent them to reassure Abraham that His word is truth, and Sarah would conceive a child at the appointed time. GOD will always fulfill His promises, because of His sovereignty and that GOD just can not lie.

Beloved Abraham then barter with GOD to save the people of Sodom and Gomorrah in an effort to deliver his nephew Lot once again. This time GOD was tired of the way the people were living after He had rescued the country from the hand of the enemy. The people lived perverse and despicable lives, doing anything that pleased them regardless of the consequences. However, there behavior so angered GOD that he wanted to destroy them. But Abraham bargained with GOD, requesting that if he could find ten righteous souls that GOD would spare His wrath; however as the word reveals this was not to be and GOD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah after Lot and his family escape the danger. The sad part of this story is that Lot’s wife did not exercise obedience to the word of GOD as she looked back at her previous life instead of looking forward to the new life and she lost her life. Our society’s behavior is similar to that of Sodom and Gomor-rah and I am here to warn you that now is the time to get right with GOD before it’s too late.

Our country is ripe for the wrath of GOD as in the days of Sodom. Look at what is going on in our own communities, in our places of employment, and in throughout this Nation. Beloved if you are reading these words from this site today, my prayer is that a conscience decision is made by you to seek the higher ground. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior today is the day, harden not your heart, but allow the sweet communion of the Holy Spirit into your heart. There is no special formula other than to say right now; GOD I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD that you sent him into the world to redeem mankind. That Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, that he was hung, bleed and died on the cross at Calvary, was buried and rose from the grave with all power. I accept you Jesus in my heart and as my personal Savior.

Now if you have said this and truly believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, we shout Hallelujah and give GOD glory for your decision. We thank GOD for you and ask Him to bless and keep you all and may the love of Jesus Christ infiltrate your life today and always, Amen.

God Bless You and Keep You Always
