Our Call to Duty – Didn’t HE Do It?
Our Call to Duty – “Didn’t HE Do It?” Who did it and what for? Jesus died once for all, the Just for the unjust. 18 “For indeed Christ died for sins once for all, the Just and Righteous for the unjust and unrighteous [the Innocent for the guilty] so that He might bring us to GOD, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit.” (1 Pet 3:18 AMP)
Why? Adam and Eve were commanded by GOD that they were allowed to eat or partake of any fruit that was in the garden, except for the fruit on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 16 “And the LORD GOD commanded the man, saying, ‘You may freely (unconditionally) eat [the fruit from every tree of the garden; 17 but [only] from the tree of knowledge (recognition) of good and evil you shall not eat, otherwise on the day that you eat from it, you shall most certainly die [because of your disobedience. (Gen 2:16-17 AMP)
You know it, Eve ate some fruit from the tree that GOD told them not to eat from, and she decided it was good, and gave some to Adam. Their disobedience in the garden is the reason for Jesus coming and dying to reconcile the world back to GOD.

Therefore, “GOD was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting their trespasses, against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though GOD were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to GOD. He made Him who knew no to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of GOD in Him.” (2 Cor. 5:19-21 NASB) We cannot get into right standing with GOD by our own accord, and GOD knew from the beginning that humankind would need a savior to be reconciled back to Him.
Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for GOD to take away the sin of the world. His death and resurrection paved the way for humanity to get right with GOD, and if we (humankind) accept that GOD raised Jesus from the dead, and by confessing that; we shall be saved from death and hell. 10 “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Rom 10:10 NIV)
Our confession could lead to repentance, which means we turned to following GOD from not following GOD. The Gospel of John states, 7 “You must be born again.” (John 3:7 NLT) John continues, 8 “The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you cannot explain how people are born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8 NLT)
When we turn to GOD with all our heart, mind, and soul, the wind which is the (Holy Spirit) will come and reconcile us to GOD according to His Will. This gift of reconciliation (being born again) is by Grace through our Faith and this is GOD’S gift to us.
8 “GOD saved you by His Grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from GOD. 9 Salvation is not a reward for good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are GOD’S masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. (Ephes 2:8-10 NLT)
