Our Call to Duty – Freedom Rings

Our Call to Duty – Freedom Rings As the United States celebrates 250 years of freedom, which is a wonderful thing, unfortunately, this world, as we know it will pass away. “The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of GOD and carries out His purpose lives forever.” (1 John 2:17 AMP). Jesus stated in (John 14:1-3 NIV) 1“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in GOD; believe also in Me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”  Jesus was going away to prepare a place for us [the born-again, the Chosen Children of GOD, heirs, and joint heirs with Christ].

“You should not be surprised at my saying,” ‘You must be born again.’ (John 3:7) “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” (John 15:19)

“For you are all children of GOD through faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26) “And if children, then heirs; heirs of GOD, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” (Romans 8:17 KJV) Just know that this eternal, everlasting home with GOD will never pass away

Our freedom from sin and death occurred over two thousand years ago, when Jesus offered Himself for the sins of humankind. 14 “How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to GOD, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living GOD! 26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But He has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.” (Hebrews 9:14,26 NIV).

That was the celebration of celebrations! Our eternal freedom from sin and death far outweighs anything and is joy unspeakable or inexpressible and full of glory. “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. (1 Peter 1:8 NIV). If you are a partaker of the Grace of GOD, then do you believe that there is something in this life that is worth going to Hell for? Do not answer this. Words, in many cases, are the right ones, but our actions speak louder than our words.

Thank GOD for Jesus, who is the propitiation (atonement) for our sins; “Whom GOD displayed publicly [before the eyes of the world] as a [life-giving] sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation (propitiation) by His blood [to be received] through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness [which demands punishment for sin], because in His forbearance [His deliberate restraint] He passed over the sins previously committed [before Jesus’ crucifixion]” (Romans 3:25 AMP), even after we have been born again and have become the Children of GOD. Paul wrote to the Roman Jews and Gentiles who became followers of GOD through Jesus; that the contention between them was because the converted Jews wanted converted Gentiles to follow certain demands of the law of Moses.

Today, certain demands (temptations) get us to revert to our sinful old way of living. Paul wrote in Romans chapter six, verse one: Should we keep sinning so that GOD can show more of His wonderful grace? We know that the answer is no! So, why do we continue to sin? Again, do not answer this. There is no excuse other than we wanted to. Our lusting leads to giving into worldly temptations. “But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire (lust, passion).” (James 1:14 AMP)

Remember, the children of GOD have freedom from sin and the death that belongs to the world; and all that is in the world is the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, 15 “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2:15-16).

Let us live in the freedom which Jesus provided through His death on the cross and His resurrection. Jesus Christ exclaimed to many after forgiving and healing them. Go and sin no more! Because when we do this:“Freedom Rings”
